Peugeot 208 Forum
As Daytime Running Lights (DRL's) have become compulsory I'm sure you are aware many manufacturers (including yourselves) have turned to LED's to make their cars more appealing. As the 508 has an option of LED's I see they are only available as an option on the Allure variant and are standard on the GT trim. Will this also be the case for the 208 or will you offer them so they are easily available? Also I notice when the LED option is specified the DRL's move places from the fog lamp sector to the main headlamp sector. Will this also be the same? Finally I would like to ask you where the standard DRL lamp will be placed.
Hello Ruhban,
The light signature revealed on the pictures, with a long and thin light guide, will be standard on a significant part of 208’s range.
I’m afraid it is a little too early to give further information about the different versions.
We will communicate on this Forum about the prices and the range specifications at the beginning of 2012.
Kind regards.
Michaël.
and what is for you the beginning of 2012? January or March?
Hello Omur,
In January, you will find more details on this Forum.
Kind regards.
Michaël.
Hi Michael can you tell us about the lights now that we are in 2012? Thanks.
Hi Ruhban,
Thank you for reminding me of your question.
The range is composed of 4 levels called Access, Active, Allure and Feline.
The light signature revealed on the pictures, with a long and thin light guide and additional leds, is standard on Allure and Feline versions. And is also be available as an option on Active version.
The standard DRL on Access and Active versions is lit with a lamp, and is located in the same area as the additional leds. Thus, there is a real coherence within the 208 family.
Kind regards.
Michaël.
